Rwanda: minister of finance explain the profit of Rwanda on agreement signed with china.

Rwanda and China on Tuesday signed an agreement to abolish double taxation of goods from one country to another, which is expected to boost investment and trade between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr Uzziel Ndagijimana, and the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Rao Hongwei.

Dr. Uzziel Ndagijimana points out that this agreement, like Rwanda’s, will benefit because China is a good and large market, and it will also help prevent tax evasion.

“China is the world’s largest market, and we have a great deal to do with it because it will allow Chinese investors to come and work in Rwanda because we have removed them from coming here in Rwanda and taxing them, returning them home and taxing them,” he said. The agreement states, however, that there is a need to increase the exchange of information on taxation so that no Rwandan tax evader from China, or any Rwandan working there, can be tax evaders. ”

The Chinese ambassador to Rwanda, Rao Hongwei, said the agreement was a key factor in boosting trade between the two countries, and vowed to pave the way for increased Chinese investment in Rwanda.

“I am just happy to be here. The Chinese government continues to urge investors to come here and invest, which is a good sign for me.

China is one of the countries in which Rwanda exports most of its products and exports agricultural products such as flowers and vegetables.

Overall, the Ministry of Finance and Planning has shown that such agreements have already yielded good results, due to the increase in investment from countries that have already signed with Rwanda, including Turkey, Qatar, Morocco, and Africa. South, Singapore etc. and that it is a continuous journey.

By 2020, the Asian continent has invested in Rwanda more than Rwf341.5 billion.

China’s investment was estimated at $ 282 billion, or more than $ 282 billion.

Rwanda currently has agreements with the 15 countries to abolish double taxation, while China has similar agreements with about 125 countries.
